EXPERIENCE
Christopher Kane

April 2013 – July 2013

I completed a 3-month internship with the Pattern Cutting Team at Christopher Kane, which helped develop my sewing and pattern cutting skills. I also worked alongside the Design, Production and Sales teams, which gave me a great insight into how the business works as a whole. I was lucky enough to be selected to work in the London Showroom as well as spend 10 days working in the Paris Showroom. It was a fantastic experience and I gained a huge amount of knowledge from it.

House Of Holland

May 2012 – September 2012

I completed a 6-month internship with the design team at House Of Holland working through Pre13 and SS13. I was involved mostly with pattern cutting, toiling, and research as well as other aspects of the studio work. I was responsible for creating all the CAD technical drawings for both Pre13 and SS13. I was given the task of developing possible prints and pattern repeats for a collaboration with Sports Girl in Australia, as well as for SS13. The print developed for Sports Girl was used as the main print in the collection. I worked backstage at the SS13 show dressing and organizing models as well as ensuring that all the garments were looking their best. This experience has been hugely valuable to me due to both the variety of tasks and the length of time I spent with the team.
